Hello and thank you for considering reading this prologue to the 'War of Wrath,' which will carry the deepest impact to the forum (story's name for a universe) of Bungie. This story will play out to be one of the more serious Floodfiction, but it will carry some extremely violent battle scenes to compensate for your pleasure. [b][i]-----[/i][/b] At first, there was no enemy to face the Federation of America. There was infinite peace as great and new technologies were being made. Though, there would always be bumps and hills along the road of greatness. Some of these things came rather unexpectedly, but the Federation of America was always adaptable. It would keep old designs, but turn them into something greater. Achronos was always one to do such a thing. As president of the Federation, he was responsible for a great many things. He was an earnest person, ever honest. But he was a ruthless Supreme General and Admiral of the Federation. If anything came across as threatening to the existence of the Federation, he would do anything and everything possible to kill off the opposition. There was no holding back. Today was a day that humbled him in some ways. He was aboard his vessel, a gargantuan twenty-five kilometer long War-Carrier called the Septagon. It bristled with massive magnetic accelerators and energy weapons. It was the leading ship of the Bungie Fleet of the Federation. The Bungie Fleet of the Federation of America held thousands of ships to its name. Its leading vessels, plus other slightly smaller carriers, dozens of battleships, and innumerable cruisers, destroyers and frigates formed this conglomeration of vessels. “Sir, radar’s reading FTL breaks from across the system!” a helmsman shouted. “Open video feed!” Achronos shouted with a voice of steel. The images were horrifying. Two vessels had to, at the very least, have been fifty thousand kilometers long. It looked of the color of biomass and was surrounded by a great number of other smaller ships. “Reading five thousand ships, maximum!” “By the light of the Seventh Column… Engage! All weapons loose!” Achronos roared, giving command to all the vessels of his fleet. Beams of light arched over to the enemy, slicing through their armor and chitin. But the damaged seemed null with the numbers they held. Not even the magnetic accelerator’s gigaton yields seemed to do anything to their swarm. The return fire was devastating. The two giant vessels seemed to create a single vortex between them of which was launched towards the Bungie Fleet. The singularity passed through the fleet, pulling several into it and displacing others. The resulting explosion from the singularity was utterly ruining. It managed to vaporize at least a dozen of the Bungie ships and damaged a hundred others. “Fire the Megacannon!” Archronos ordered. Lights flickered as the weapon at the fore of the ship charged. When the weapon fired, a huge beam of blue blinding light ripped through the enemy fleet’s one largest ship. The ship folded inward, crippled and crashing into its own vessels. “Fire singularities and jump out from the system, now!” Achronos ordered and soon, the remaining ships, which were at two hundred, fired off their singularity rounds before leaving the system via FTL. The remaining ships of the enemy numbered at around four thousand, mostly from their massive ship crashing into its own ships. The Bungie Fleet left at two hundred. Achronos groaned from the horrible defeat. It was the first defeat in decades. Never had he run into something so numerous and powerful as the unknown enemy he had fought that day. Word from a faraway colony in the Small Magellanic Cloud told that they had intercepted a message speaking of the enemy. They were called the Flood of the Void.
