Well this is also not final and Sony said they are experimenting with OLED screens like oculus so they are also already working on another version and will be working on it probably well into next year. You should be thankful this is necessary... if you want VR to actually work and survive you need as many people to have a VR headset as possible and give developers more customers to sell to. You can't count on high end PC owners to foot the entire bill for development costs.
