NFL bosses are claiming that before they can branch out around the world they need to break in the UK, so do you think American football will stay in America if NFL fails in Britain?
Keep in mind we are not a fan of American football but there are some supporters here, there was a London team last time the NFL tried to go global.

9 回覆It just needs to grow, there is serious talk at FIFA of an international league for football, like a permanent Champions league (for example, LG2->LG1->Championship->BPL->International league)

7 回覆I think the logistics of global travel alone will stop this from ever making a real push. Trips across the pond every couple weeks would really wear down an average person and throw off a normal training and preparation regiment. But the London game each year does seem to be popular.

4 回覆I think the sport will spread to Mexico before London gets team. Easier logistics, more demand for a team in Mexico, and there are already games in London.

1 回覆I remember when I was younger like 6 or 7, I thought the New England Patriots were actually from England.

2 回覆There are definitely British fans, and I enjoy watching it sometimes, but I think the amount of breaks between play and the fact it's considered a pussy version of rugby means it won't ever really catch on over here.

1 回覆Personally i don't see why they would care about putting a team there, they are all poor plebeians, except for the royal family. Well at least they wouldn't need mouth guards.

14 回覆American Football is a life style, one that our friends across the pond do not appreciate or understand, I don't think the NFL will succeed in Europe

1 回覆由Miami Herald編輯: 3/4/2014 5:17:30 PMNFL bores me, I prefer worldwide football. American football is a lot of talking and strategizing and only around 10-20 minutes of actual play time. All these artists and videos, it's moving away from a sport and becoming a concert show.

1 回覆It will go global when players are replaced by monster tanks with claws. Even Spain will want to see that.

People show up to the UK games, arguably better than some US team's games (Jaguars and Buccaneers come to mind), and if the NFL thinks they can make money with a UK team then they're definitely gonna do it. The problem is, do the PLAYERS want that? It's not like they're gonna draft a whole team of English players. They're gonna pick up an existing franchise and move it to London. That might not sit well with players who will have to travel back and forth to a foreign country. I think we're still at least 3 years out before something like that becomes a reality, but it's inevitable. It's gonna happen.

3 回覆Football to me is more about the atmosphere than the actual game. At least as far as high school goes.
