It's not an assumption, it is the Word of God. Like I said, we can debate creation versus evolution for hours and never get any where. If the creation doesn't change your mind, how can the word of another man change it?
and even then, what created these creators? And how do we know which "creators" are legitimate?
There again, you're trying to figure out God with logic from man. God had no beginning. He had no creation. We exist inside of time, everything we know has a beginning and an end. Everything. He created time, and therefore exists outside of its limitations. As to which one is true, the Living God must be spiritually discerned, and that is a gift He grants through His Holy Spirit.
And until the moment I stopped believing in all deities I never felt these experiences you speak of, which is why I stopped believing. And what I mean by good people is if we are good, why would a god deny us simply for remaining justifiably skeptical?
All you did was merely believe in the existence of one. You can believe in the existence of electricity, but that does not make you an electrician. Jesus says you cannot know the Father (God) except through Him (Jesus) (John 14:6). You must realize your poverty of spirit and need for a Savior to experience Christ. As for being good, what makes you good? What defines good?
Why would he send his son to die? How does that help us? Why didn't he just solve all of our problems instead of making this some tedious journey? Why didn't he make everyone divine and incapable of sin and have us all living in heaven? What is with this trial period?
That I can't answer fully. Paul says "for the purposes of His will". I know that's not a good enough answer, but is really all I have. However, the "trial period" as you put it is Gods testing. Where is free will if he just reconciles us all to Him without our say? Would we not just be puppets on a string at that point? He wants willing servants.

 • But you don't know if there is a God. The fact that the universe exists doesn't mean a deity had to create it, we simply don't know the answers and I don't claim to know them. "Science is questions that may never be answered while religion is answers that may never be questioned." I also don't have a certain belief around evolution. Or you could guess and claim anything. It could have been the Flying Spaghetti Monster that created us, I'd still question whether there is a Flying Spaghetti Monster, and even if I did accept him, I'd still be equally bothered by not knowing how his noodleness came to be. What created the creator? What defines good? Principle, natural rights, freedoms and liberty. The ability to do with your own body whatever you so choose provided you harm no one else. Why is free will necessary? Are we not still his puppets that must bend to his will?

 • You surprise me Cam. I pegged you as someone who devoutly believed in evolution. I see old me in you; questioning everything and not taking it for face value just because a book or a scientist or the internet told you so. That's a good trait to have, I won't deny that. Those types of questions led me straight to God and I found out a beautiful truth; He was doing the leading the entire time. The truth is, there is nothing I can do to open your eyes to God or Christ. Only He can do that. All I can do is point to the Narrow Gate, which is Christ Jesus, when your eyes have been opened. I will pray for the eyes of your heart to be opened this very night, and for the nights to come. Blessings to you, brother.

 • I am a VERY curious person, and am open to anything as much as I question everything. I see anything being possible. I passionately defend to the best of my ability the rights and freedoms of those around me. The right to think what you want and believe or not to believe what you want. I have no ill-will towards anyone! Here another quote I've always appreciated! "The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no God. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." -Thomas Jefferson
