Which brand generally has better processors and would be better for a long term investment in a PC?

1 回覆Agreed with everyone else in this thread. Intel is probably the better long-term investment.

1 回覆Intel makes better processors. People with AMD will tell you the same. It's just that AMD is the cheap option. Still very good though, because of that cheap factor.

由Ad Hoc編輯: 1/13/2014 4:48:42 PMIntel has better CPU's, but that doesn't mean AMD's aren't worth buying. Even the $120 FX-6300 is more than enough for any game you want to play right now. Just buy one of those and spend your money on a good graphics card.
Would you rather have an i7 and a GTX 760, or an FX and a GTX 780?

The latter is correct.
1 回覆Intel is better, but I would recommend getting an AMD one at the moment because Xbox One and PS4 both have AMD APUs so next gen games will most likely be more optimized for AMD.

It depends. AMD make great budget CPUs and there's no denying that they're going to have a distinct advantage going in to next gen. But right now, Intel has the better CPU lineup and is more geared towards the heavy spender.
