Try "regular" skydiving first; see if that doesn't do it for you. Then, try wingsuiting from a plane in open air instead of BASE and see if THAT doesn't do it for you.
I skydived a couple of weeks ago with 60 seconds of freefall, loved it and can't wait to do it again.
I heard that you need 200 recorded jumps before you can go wingsuiting, though.
I should give a bit of background first. I'm a couple of jumps away from my Class A and have my main chute packing certificate. Skydiving is totally awesome -- glad you've had a chance to try it out :-)
Anyway, wingsuiting requirements vary; there is nothing official. Some wingsuit manufacturers won't even let you buy a wingsuit without a certain number of jumps, and some drop zones require 500 jumps before they'll take you up wearing a wingsuit, while other places don't care as much.
Either way, flying/swooping even without a wingsuit is seriously tough and takes lots of practice, and with a wingsuit is even harder. Every movement of your hand, foot, torso, and even your head affects your trajectory, and that's not to mention wind, turbulence, and thermals. That's why even the most experienced guys occasionally hit rocks/mountains (and sometimes get seriously injured or die). I'd recommend a ton of practice with swooping with a jumpsuit first before you even consider a BASE jump, but then I probably don't need to tell you that ;-)
I assume your first jump was, like most, a tandem. Wait til you finally go solo -- the thrill of a solo jump is pretty damn intense and WAYYYYY safer than a BASE or wingsuit jump; most jumpers I've met don't feel the need to go crazy with wingsuits, mountain swooping, BASE jumping, etc. Trust me, just regular flying is sick enough as it is. Either way, I hope you stick with it!
The group I went up with do the solo courses for $9,000, which includes nine jumps. As I'm only 18 now with no clear future I won't be able to do it for a while.
I definitely aim to one day, if I've got the money and myself sorted out. I've joked around with a friend who aims to get a pilot's licence, saying that I would pay him petrol money every so often and he'd take me up to do jumps; so that would be pretty convenient in the local area.
I definitely aim to get a lot more practice in before I attempt a wingsuit jump. Get my solo sorted, then jump a bunch of times to psyche myself up and then go for it :D
