Anyone else collect or play?
I started getting the cards when I was about six, gave up when I was about nine and then just bought a few starter decks and boosters because they were cheap.
So now I've got a pretty good water/grass deck and an 'okay' fire/fighting deck.
What are your favourite types?

Are all my older Diamond and Pearl era Pokemon cards still valid? I've got like 300+ of them >.>

I liked the card game better back when the series one sets were out. Series two sets weren't so bad, but I don't know anyone who plays the new cards. I still love the TCG gameboy game though. Just find a balanced way to play a tri-color normal deck with all the legendaries and you win every time heheh.

I play Pokemon TCG Online from time to time, not nearly as much as I used to. I recommend you download it if you haven't already, very efficient program compared to what was available when I was a kid. Dark types all de way.

I just play the video games. I do have a tin of cards around. I don't know why I have them, maybe it's nostalgia.

Pokemon cards were like the biggest thing ever for a few years in primary school. Although nobody ever actually played the game... Must've been in Year 5, 1999-2000; got back from a school trip to find my folks had bought me a couple of booster packs as a present. And inside one, a Charizard. Ho-ly shit. I was eventually persuaded to trade it, for 7 shinies. Bungie would have been proud. Including a Venomoth, I remember. Also, the whole craze got so out of hand, I remember my buddy Emile got his Gyarados stolen, or he was forced to trade it for something really shit, and he complained to a teacher about it. A few days later, the cards were banned. :(
