So overall it was very good. It sticks to the style of gritty realism that Blomkamp does so well.
CGI was top notch blending seamlessly with reality.
The story is well thought out and isn't afraid to show a realistic situation gone wrong.
My only and biggest complaint is that the political message is so glaringly obvious. It's like the entire movie is the border wars on steroids spliced with Sci-Fi.
For those who have seen it, do you have any idea how the ChemRail works, or what it is?

8 回覆So this is why my thread isn't going anywhere, oh well. But yes, my father is now pissed off and ranting because of the political and social messages it sends, kinda funny.

8 回覆I haven't watched it yet.
The trailers showing Elysium has some Halo references in there just by watching it, although it is its own film
4 回覆Border wars on steroids? Nope, it was a complete accurate account for what would most likely happen in given situation. Movie was really good though.

1 回覆District 9 is one of my favorite movies. Which did you think was better, this or District 9?
-
2 回覆I saw it as well. It was good. I like the robot appearances because robots are awesome. The movie for some strange reason reminds me of mass effect.
