I was going to post this for the ides of march, but I was busy that day. [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassination_of_Julius_Caesar]Anyway, on March 15th, during the days of the roman republic, Julius Caesar was assassinated by eight roman senators who feared his growing power and that he would overthrow the republic.[/url] Do you believe Caesar's actions where wrong, and if so, did he deserved to be assassinated?
I'm hardly an expert on the system of government at the time but it would seem as though there could have been more peaceful solutions to the problem. Not that I necessarily believe it's a problem - despotism is great when the despot is great.
