Not really confused. I just think you're wrong on most of that.
England did not invent human rights.
Not everybody abides by those rights since they're an extremely Western and mostly European concept.
The Human Rights Act is nothing more than an expression of the UK's poor dualist legal system. It's merely the UK adaptation of the ECHR. If this would disappear, there will be a substitute. The simple fact of this act getting scrapped does not mean the end of the protection of fundamental human rights. It is just the Conservatives' negative attitude towards the EU. They want more independence to deal with human rights their own way, which I disagree with of course.
The English were one of the first to codify a basic Western standard of some human rights. That does not mean they "invented" the concept of human rights. The Magna Carta is but one point in the process of getting to the human rights we have today. You can't ascribe it to a single document or country and claim that they invented human rights.
