I know Bungie had a different demo for Halo 2, but at least they even said the game was going to be different.

They lied all the way through. Instead of focusing on this game first as it had been in development longer, Gearbox chose to outsource the game and work on Borderlands 2. When they finished it and retook the game, they almost scrapped everything the other studio had done to it and started all over again. 6 years of development brought down to not even a year for the final game. I watched the walkthrough for the entire game through TheRadBrad on youtube and that game is not worth full retail price. If anything, I'd pay 20 for it since I'm a fan of the Alien franchise. I was really looking forward to the game. Such a tremendous let down.
