They don’t think about the casual player enough…. I see most of the replies to this are forgetting that most people can’t play Destiny like a job….

And you don't "need" them, obviously. They just help if youre struggling with more difficult content. There are a lot of real quick and easy guides on builds. You can just copy what others have made. It takes very little time. Why are you guys even still leveling that high, though? You get guaranteed Tier 5's at 450. If you want to do like GM Conquests...yeah, you need a build.

They may be powerful, IF and that is a BIG IF, you have the gear and weapons to make the builds function. As a Hunter i am so squshy that I die way to much for anything to be fun. My weapons do crappy damage, everything is a bullet sponge. I do not want to play master or higher difficulty in crappy gear. That is ALL I got is crappy gear. No build works like the YT videos without all the stats and right weapons those guys use. Believe me I have tried more than once, or 2 dozen times. Keep saying that it is easy and anyone can do this, and maybe you will actually believe it, but you will NOT convince me or many of the players who have left because of the focus on difficulty and builds.

Generalizing that isnt helpful. So, I actually run only a hunter these days. If you have Prismatic, I can go over a build with you that puts out solid offense, good mobility, superb damage resistance and you can use whatever weapons you want.

Here's the thing, if you're limited to that small amount of build and you can't answer the build outside of that,doesn't that mean the game is way too limiting on how you play? Honestly, if I'm an outsider giving this question and I get "you have a terrible attitude" as reply, I won't bother trying the game because that's a sign the game has little in play style variety
