Remake Destiny 1 with the same content and features, but update the engine first, then add the new stuff from Destiny 2. No portal system.
But Destiny 1 wouldn't end like the old destiny 1 it would continue into destiny 2 until the end of Final Shape.
Update the features for a couple of years and release content, while you make the next destiny experience like a destiny 3.

由JazzyPaladin477編輯: 10/13/2025 6:50:10 PMNah. They would ruin it. All Destiny 1 content ported to d2 feels sterile plastic and lifeless. It just doesn’t work for whatever reason. I think Everything is dummed down to make way for 4K and wide field of view. They would probably have to vault half the game for the same reason. Just buy an old gen console (or any console) and play the entire game the way it was meant to be.

6 回覆Just started D1 from new again. Feels soooooo much better than current D2 in so many ways

7 回覆I’ve always been in support of this as well. Aside from a few things such as mantling, subclasses, and weapons, D1 has always been the superior game. Combining the two into one large experience should be top priority, even above a D3. Too much was taken away for new players to feel welcomed, and those who stay are only doing so because there isn’t a 1:1 replacement. It’s almost 2026, I think Destiny will have true competition very soon given the technical advancements.

My clan leader had an alt account he used to hold our clan when we joined another to get some stuff done. He got onto that account a little over a month ago and started a new character in D1. It's been a blast running through all of that stuff again. Make it 60 FPS and add grappling and it would be perfect.

Just give me a 60 fps update for D1 on ps5. Hell id pay 20 bucks for that. Actually Bungie you will have better luck getting money out of me and my friends with a 60 fps upgrade to D1 than you will ever getting us to spend a dime on d2 again.

They are not going to remake an old (D1) game or current old game (d2) on a new engine. That would not make sense, nor be a good use of time, money and resources. If Destiny 3- under Bungie or another studio happens, that’s what you put on a new engine, along with dropping last generation consoles. D1 is 11 years old- an educational assumption- is that a great majority of people who have wanted to play it have by now. Based on just my basic understanding and research If a D3 happens on a new engine probably- same design/ concepts but building a new engine and a new game ~ 4-5 years. Rebuilding D1 on a new engine- assuming your remaking it fully as is- same animations, look, style, all the details as was in the first D1- well that becomes closer to ~ 5-7 years. This is because you are remaking it as is vs a new start/ fresh slate of a D3. Where you can make everything how you want it vs needing to remake how it already was. So what you’re going to wait 5 years to replay an already 11 year old game? Or even if it was 1/2 the time, wait 3 years? Even if Bungie or Sony started to build a new engine and full new D3 as a concept right now- it likely isn’t out until 2029-30 at the earliest. Again- just my thoughts from basic research.

Remake it for what? The story has been told there literally is no reason for a “remake” look at destiny rising. A new dev and story and look at the numbers. We are burnt out now. The IP is going the way of anthem. Good bye and good riddance

2 回覆Idk why everyone asking for a Remake or D3 both are impossible because all they time and investment the going into marathon not to mention quantity of staff and funds that only seems being funded by Destiny 2. Pretty much doubt Sony going to give them anymore money how bad they messed up with the funds they got with so many projects that got shut down. Sad to say they only option is to fix D2 by trying things around in renegades and hurry up to get Marathon out the door in a great condition so they can make some money back on their investment. They are in a dire situation now
