If you reset power to 200 on Renegades release, any progress you have made will be Null. People WILL leave.
It does not matter how much you do to improve anything or how great that expansion ends up being. Most of your player base left will leave and most will not come back. Resetting power will be the singular most devastating thing you could do in December.

The reset and powered still doesn’t change the five PIP weapons and armor just their power levels… so the cool loot we grind for will still be usable. We just need to grind some more and power them up…. Personally, I just finished the edge of fate campaign, and I’m working towards the exotic handgun…. So I might be to 500. Maybe when it releases? Not too concerned about it.

17 回覆What is it with all of you having a problem with a power level squish. It's either that or you would have to grind to 900 or whatever instead. Holy fudging fudge.

While I agree, I do not see bungie reverting this. They seem to be focusing on how much time it takes to grind and using that as a engagement metric. Although clear though would see that forcing players into and artificial grind just to up hour played is way worse than making the game fun and enjoyable so players want to spend time in game. Bungie has no clue, no clear direction and no vision for the franchise, so it is what it is at this point. JUST BAD!

With the unstable core economy that was a mess. At least in Renegades, I’ll have all the tier 4-5 gear I farmed, so even if they reset the number on the screen in practice I’m still in a much better place and everything that drops that is not Tier 4 or above can safely be dismantled to farm core. Ideally I would like they do not reset but in practice, it probably won’t be as painful as the first time. Also they said they will not remove the current gear bonus in Renegade so current T5 will still be very much relevant. What suck is the time gating for people to reach a level band where they can get T5. This was a dumb idea at best.

1 回覆20 million copies sold for D1. D2 sold half that - 10 million copies. People [b]have l[/b]eft by the 10s of millions. Just the 1%ers left. The 200 reset is dumb and unnecessary, but Bungie will do it for Renegades. Then they'll promise to never do it again.

Im now deleting majority of loot now even ones that give me power as i cant see any reason to bother getting any higher. Now next season is when it will be make or break for me, not really sure if i will want to do this all again im on the side of that i wont do it , ill be on BF6 soon so my playing time will be more limited anyway In the past ive always played D2 more than any other game but as it is now i think BF6 will be my main game. I think the biggest issue with the reset back to 200 will be events like Dawning, releasing in 2 weeks after renegades launches then no way will any of the loot be T5 and lets be honest will be pretty much worthless, so how they are going to keep players if that's the case i have no idea. They are backing themselves into a difficult corner and i cant se a way out for them

I think that may be the top reason why so many left. I haven't been playing that long, a few years, but I'm not happy that alot that I invested in is useless. So I can imagine how the people who've played longer then I have; who invested into armor and builds must feel.The other thing also is the matterweave. It's not very appealing,at least to me anyway.

The only way to get around that issue would be if the new content was actually good and a path to power levels - something Kepler never managed. I've never been able to wrap my head around how they didnt utilize Kepler as a source for power. There's literally no reason to play Kepler - outside of triumph chasing - once you've beaten it on Brave. It's just slow, doesnt help with power and they've added stupid timers to halt progress.

7 回覆D1 Alpha player here. I will DEFINITELY leave if Bungie resets my power level back to anything less than what it is now. In fact, I won’t ever buy anything that is even remotely affiliated with Bungie if they do this. Not a big Star Wars fan, but even that isn’t enough to lure me back. Do it Bungie. Sign your death warrant.

I’m still undecided. Seeing as I already bought renegades, I’m gonna play it. As for the power grind? I’m almost 450, and I’ve gotten there almost exclusively playing crucible. Every now and then I’ll do a pinnacle op to get a new weapon. I think I can count the number of times I’ve ran Caldera on both hands. I’m not looking forward to a power reset, obviously, but if they do it, I’m still gonna play crucible. Maybe I get renegade tier 5 gear eventually, maybe I don’t. F it. I can’t think of a single thing they could do to make me engage with the portal. They don’t even open matchmaking for the exotic missions, which should be a no-brainer. If I can solo these, just add people to the fireteam. Even then, I don’t wanna run the same mission over and over and over and over. So I’ll be sticking around, but the portal ain’t it. Not even close. Not in the ballpark, not even in the zip code.
