It felt like classic Onslaught had a ramp up period, low level enemies at the beginning to let players accrue a bunch of Resources for building turrets and dummies and whatnot, but the new Onslaught starts off at a pretty high difficulty, lots of sweat even in early rounds.

由Stalkholm編輯: 8/30/2025 11:09:59 PMThe first time I dropped into new Onslaught I thought my build was bad, so I backed out. The second time I dropped into new Onslaught I realized I wasn't the reason I was having a hard time. I haven't been back to Onslaught since then. It used to be my favorite mode, but now that the difficulty curve is set to eleven from the start it's just not that fun anymore. I can finish it, I can get through it, but it's not as fun as it used to be. Honestly a little sad about it.

I have on principle been someone who would finish what I started, even if matched up with a team that never had the right gear or items. Lately, I have found myself just giving up and backing out after reviving team-mates over and over again. A lot of people seem unprepared for how quickly the difficulty ramps up. It is not the same Onslaught, so the type of folk who never bring champbusters, who always leave cells lying around for other people to sling at the ACU, or who keep dying over and over again can make a run an absolute slog, not even worth sticking around to finish up. I dislike leaving people hanging, but this is so difficult to play as it is, knowing my time is about to be wasted means I just log off and do something else instead.
