I am not sure how Bungie came up with the idea that this type of leveling is good.
It is horrible. I have to spend weeks or even months if i have a life, of grinding the same few lost sectors.
The idea of raids and dungeons apparently just left the building and team play is a distant memory now. It takes forever to level up and when you do there is nothing else TO DO because the content is missing and the old content is not revamped.
On top of all, old weapons and armors are not so viable anymore compared to the new ones. This is just shadow sunsetting and it pisses me off.
There is no reason to go to vendors anymore since reputation is deleted from the game. Now you when you play activities, you don't feel rewarded for your time because there is no progression at the vendors with extra rewards.
I don't know why Bungie did all this but now this game does not feel like Destiny anymore.

1 回覆Facts! Bungo need to revert back to pre Edge of Fate or please Sony step in and sort this mess out!

2 回覆Still level 10……see no purpose to play anymore as they sunset and power creep all the content we paid for.

由Obelix編輯: 8/18/2025 1:52:56 AMThe levelling itself is not great but the real problem is the activities to level are boring and unnecessarily challenging at some point. Past a certain point levelling means stacking so many stupid modifiers to get an A. And it just SUCKS to play. Pre EoF I spend most of my time in GM or Dungeons, I loved testing builds and this was the place if you wanted to know if a build was solid. Now it’s a coin toss. You test a build at -30 on Kepler and it shred. Start a quick play fireteam and now sniper one tap you, the build does not react the same, nor the ennemies. Then what’s the point of investing on a build and higher tier gear if a random roll of modifier can toss that away. Rant over Btw did I say I hate all these modifiers…

3 回覆What's even more ridiculous is people still playing it and expecting it to somehow be different/better than what it really is. It's like the blind leading the blind.

由Mara Sovereign編輯: 8/18/2025 1:45:05 AMYou have to give credit where credit is due. I said the first day by resetting everyone and essentially sunsetting everything we've worked 10 years for, that it has set up a mad sprint to exploit all the sweaties, some I figure haven't been touched by sunlight since the drop. They're reskinning and renaming old shtuff and reselling it while penalizing you for using the original.

1 回覆And you still keep on buying the dlcs. In my opinion, you deserve this well. Have fun.

12 回覆It is pure misery, I got drawn in by solstice and the higher tier drops and I reckon a lot of other guardians did too, come next Tuesday I expect a lot more players will drop off.

And you only get weaker against enemies as you progress and are forced into Grandmaster difficulty in every activity to try to get better gear. Idiotic. When do we actually become powerful in return for our grinding efforts? Whoever thought a negative progression was a great idea needs fired.

1 回覆This is so true. The other thing that gets me is what is the bonus for leveling? Higher tiered gear? Sure. But you never actually feel strong and in fact as you “progress” you actually feel weaker. Who thought of this? Right now I’m at like 360 light and I either have to do mythic with all negative banes or whatever they are called active OR do grandmaster as a mostly solo player. Hell I can’t even put on lower light gear and run the Encore mission on expert or lower mythic to get an A rating in order to get a shot at a catalyst for Choir. Now I have to do a loaded challenger Mythic or do grandmaster. I just don’t get the thought process.

1 回覆It’s wild seeing a 5 year old single player game consistently having higher steam player counts. Game has turned into a f2p grind for the sake of it model except you still have to pay for expansions.

2 回覆It all went down hill when they didn't bring back Dead Orbit, FWC, and New Monarchy unique items and rep.

1 回覆Leveling used to be something that happened naturally as you did a bunch of different activities and chased the new loot. Now, you have to play the same two missions over and over and over and over again just to get to a level where you can actually have the new gear drop at the higher tiers. "But, you don't need tier 4-5 gear." This argument is empty and meaningless. None of the gear is needed. If they designed a system that allowed us to upgrade our gear to different tiers through grinding for materials and I could only upgrade it to tier 3 because I don't want to play Master and GM content, I'd be fine with that, because at least I would have investment. Locking the tiers behind power and guardian ranks is just plain engagement bait. And then, being forced to play higher difficulty content just to level up is the complete opposite of their second favorite quote, "play your way" (first being, "we're listening").
