Why do people continue to insist there's a secret motive within Bungie to get us to play 'Marathon?' They've explicitly stated the game isn't intended to appeal to all 'Destiny' players.
Can you come up with a good reason for all the changes they’ve made?
What sane rational profit driven business would consistently slam itself in the door like Bungie continues to do?
We have TONS of content bought and paid for over the last 10 years. I can’t think of a single rational reason for the removal of two DLC chapters with the DCV promising to bring them back someday…along with the constant flips and changes to systems and structures and invalidation of progress etc…what purpose could this all serve other than to kill off the player base so they can move the remaining hands to marathon and move on from Destiny entirely.
Of course you can't think of any reason, you only see things through the lens of someone who feels slighted; hardly an objective viewpoint.
I don't need to present reasons for why Bungie has made the decisions they have over the years because I'm not their PR rep. I'm merely a player with the ability to decide if the changes made over the years have soured my interest in continuing to play the game or if I see them as ways the game continues to evolve, both for better or worse, and allow for the fact that not everything is meant to appease me specifically. I've chosen the latter because despite things I may not agree with, I still find the game entertaining.
Idk man, paying for the games year over year and buying dlc and silver being, fed the line that it fuels the live team and future expansions only to see they took that money to make Marathon and those other canceled projects while leaving our game to languish in sub par content and be more bug ridden than a mattress found under an overpass on the 301 is pretty much being slighted and not a feeling of it.
I get it, there've been times when I've been underwhelmed with the state of things in the game. But that's when I stopped paying for and playing it. Nowhere in the ToS does it say you're contractually obligated to keep going. Take a break from 'Destiny,' try things out FTP, then decide if you want to spend more money on it.
