This is the end.
I bought the collectors edition, I kind of guessed it was over, wanted a keepsake for the 10 years I’ve played and mostly loved this game.
Needing seasonal armour to have access to certain activities, regrinding new armour every season? Catalysts getting harder and harder to acquire. Just more loops to jump through than ever before.
No thank you.

3 回覆Everything is boring, the power grind isn't even fun. Also the low gravity modifier makes me want to get off. Everyone is already impatient with the loot drop, now i got to be patient enough for my guardian to hit the ground after jumping.

Time to grind is insane and a joke... as you say exotic catalysts have been joke for a while, seasonal grind is now a joke (gring 100s hours to ACCESS tier 5 grind, then reset after 6 months, is this actually a joke for real?!), having to use the latest gear is a joke. Even the scale / size of the missions and areas seems on a budget. It's all a bad joke at our expense to farm engagement hours... why? Maybe so bonuses get paid out. What about measuring staff on customer enjoyment not how long you can farm them for. That might encourage good game design. As it is it's disgusting. I'm going from buy every season and a bit of silver here and there to free to play from now on until Bungie listens.

Makes you wonder who they made the game for. cause it's sure not going to go far in this state for the masses . only thing that makes sense is it was designed for a small group of streamers and raid grinders. maybe bungie knows the game is dead, so they lay on thick grind and have content for a relativity small amount of players. but whatever the case. the grind is way over cooked and too boring to spend 100's of hours for a small power level increase . just so you can grind even more but in worse conditions from bullet sponge ads. I don't see how even the streamers will survive this long term . it's going to break much sooner then anticipated .

57 回覆There’s a reason they can’t even get over 100k players. They have killed the game. Sony will absorb them, sooner than later hopefully.

The new systems appear to be designed very specifically to avoid making new content. The game is just a treadmill (it always has been, but at least there were some cool things to look at or do along the way), they want you to get on and watch that number go up. That's it. It's not even disguised any more.

4 回覆I logged on and saw my level had been nerfed. Started shooting and saw I am shooting bullet sponges and don’t get me started with that spark rubbish. I played for about 10 minutes and turned it off. I have no desire to play anymore. Who thought that this was a good idea? All my gear I worked for is useless. On the plus side, my wife is happy I am spending more time with her 🤣.

1 回覆I got back on the game and really wanted to play it. PvP still sucks. How hasn’t this community got bored of radar camping and the small maps? There’s more camping in destiny than any other FPS PvP game I’ve played. Gambit is probably the best mode 😂😂😂 Vanguard ops still has those trash battleground modes which is beyond boring . Why can’t they add a PoE mode that’s more like doom? We want to feel the power and get nice rewards. Destiny is dead.

But it's the only way studios know how to make a game when they don't have a lot of money and resources to throw at it. They just do everything they can to slow you down. They make you regrind the same content. They reuse old assets. They add tiers and ranks and all the noise to try to give meaning to the fact that you're just running the same garbage content over and over again. I thought Destiny 2 was a treadmill back when we actually had expansions and season, but oh boy, I had no idea it could get so much worse. This game is dead.

1 回覆I don't mind grinding, but the gear changes are way worse than I could imagine. PvP feels TERRIBLE, and once you grind for a good loadout, it'll be time for it to be worthless again. The story was pretty good, and the campaign was ok. My favorite part of the game was the way it felt though, and that has taken a serious step back.

3 回覆It’s actually a shame, I’m enjoying the story but the gameplay is such a pain in the -blam!- that I’m still not done the campaign, normally I plow through it day 1. Non stop puzzles and the objective marker telling me to go the opposite way I actually need to go is so annoying I can only handle a couple of missions at a time, then I’m done until winter unless the sept update is good. I’m not grinding power lvl, screw that. What’s the point of getting new armour and weapons if there’s nothing fun to use them on. They increased the stick and made the carrot useless imo.

18 回覆So many people crying over this. System is way better 🤷🏻♂️ power grind was always pointless unless you wanted to play end game. So now you grind to get higher tier loot. It’s a damn looter shooter lol it’s meant to be a grind. Have yet to hear a reason why this system is worse than the other system. Grinding? That’s the only argument? That’s what this game always has been. I feel like everyone just wants to cry now days for the sake of crying 🤦🏻♂️

1 回覆I'm actually quite enjoying it for the first time in a few years because I just just jump on, do unimportant casual stuff and then jump off again an hour or two later - it's pretty hard to have FOMO when there's absolutely nothing to miss out on...

1 回覆I'm a mediocre player. I play the easy solos, or the Quickplays. Loot drops so that I progress a couple of levels a session. In the final shape, I could do some pinnacles. Gunsmith etc. Not really knowing, I checked on DIM what's available. Three quests. +3 level gear. (Not +5) Gambit, Nightfall and Raid. And, they are ALL require you play with a Clan! Raid!!!!!! With a Clan!!! So, you can't get pinnacle gear unless you play with a Clan. This obsession, obsession! that Bungie has with arranged play, is neurotic! BTW, I haven't bought it. Why would I? I'll play the easy stuff for a while, and then that'll do. Aside from the changes for no reason other than change, the downright mess that is the access to various parts of the game is lazy and incompetent. I could write pages on the stupidity and incompetence of the GUI, but Bungie doesn't read it or care. When was the last time Bungie said, "That's what you want? Here is is. Exactly!" Never. I dunno. I give up.

Some are ok with the changes but I am not a fan. I stopped playing after the sunsetting during vanilla D2, but came back for Beyond Light after they reverted everything. The past year has been fine but once again do not agree with the soft sunsetting of previously obtained armor and weapons. We shall see if some things get changed back but I’m not very hopeful. It’s sad tbh.
