I didn’t come in here to complain but to share my experience as if it would have any weight lol. I stopped playing right before final shape dropped I believe it was when I did. I spent years playing every single day since D1 alpha and on release day. Spent a lot of money too. It always felt like I was chasing a ghost after a couple years into Destiny 2 and it seemed that Bungie never took what the community said seriously and only invested in the streamers and influencers cause they knew how to strike fomo into the marketing. One night after trying to grind the warlords run exotic. Something just snapped. I didn’t rage or anything. I just told everyone good night and shut the game off. After playing at least 2 or 5 hours a day. I stopped playing cold turkey. It didn’t make sense anymore to play or to grind for hours. It went from being fun, to a job and if you didn’t sign on then you got left behind. Since that day I think I have picked up the controller, or a game rather, less than 2 times and even then I hated playing anything. Destiny and this franchise ruined the fun of wanting to play it or anything else. I literally bought a switch 2 release day and let it set in the box for a week before returning it. I thought maybe if I could go back and play some simple games like Mario kart or Zelda. It would stir up some type of excitement. Nope nothing. I had other things I added but deleted them for the fear of being banned on here. But I hope developers can stay independent and get back to the wonder of what made them play without looking over their shoulder everytime they scan into work. Not having the fear that there badge just stopped working one morning they try to get in to start the day
