When hunters have to spec 70 melee to get the benefit of their class ability, gamblers dodge... you shouldn't cry about 10 mobility. Maybe they should make titans and warlocks need an extra stat to make their class abilities work the way its suppose too.

  • Well now mobility is tied to doing better dmg or super being tied to doing better dmg. I would rather spend those stats in something besides melee to make our class ability that says... refill by dodging...work.

    However that only constitutes your current armor. Because the stat points you currently have in mobility, resilience, and recovery won't equate the same importance as they will in weapons, health, and class. For example not investing any points in weapons you won't see less damage than you currently do now, even without investing you will have more damage. Resilience is no longer needed for dr or needing to slot leg mods to get healing from orbs as even throwaway investment will increase survivability. Hunters also likely won't need too many points in class for pve purposes as dodge still has an incredibly low cool down. Even under 70 points in melee, being able to cut down even a fraction of your melee cool down is incredibly useful, because a potential few extra seconds of waiting is still faster than the other classes. Titans and warlocks will still want a lot of points in the class stat. As for how other things that refund ability energy like gamblers dodge, it is very much possible exotics like many titan melee exotics will get nerfed the same way.

  • I dont think your grasping the situation. The ability is now false advertising. It will not restore your melee by dodging. You need to build into making it work the way its literally stated. That takes away from alot of builds going forward especially solar builds.

  • Do you realize the number of things that have improper descriptions in the game? Also if on solar and wanting to use your melee to score kills you will already want over 100 melee stat for more damage. This is not a hunter only change, but people don't seem to realize that it is supposed to be possible to get 200 stat points in a single stat. Which means that stat point distribution, point caps on armor, and that class armor will have actual stat points will make it difficult to not achieve 70 points in a stat you aren't trying to invest in. Even masterworking armor as is grants a flat 10 stat points to each stat on top of fragments stat bonuses. I can understand people being upset about hunters only having 40 mobility, but this topic is a mountain made out of a mole hill. Because honestly if you were to look at your current armor and stat distribution what would your character look like post changes?

  • Its a class ability that is suppose to recharge melee on use. You can tip top and say other things are worded wrong but it dosent change the fact its been this way for destinys lifespan. I see you main titan. So if you want your barricade to block damage, if you needed to have 100 class and 70 discipline, you wouldnt think that's a nerf? Simple yes or no. Then we can move on..

  • No because if that what is needed for maximum effectiveness why would I think it is a nerf, especially if I can gain more benefits on top of what already exists. You also forgot that the current titan barricade often nerfs the health and duration when you invest into it via aspects. So titans have been more incentivized to build a specific way for barricade already. It's also not like there is any detrimental effect from having 100 class and 70 grenade. Even if a player didn't meet said stats for barricade, could you really tell the difference since there is no visible health bars for it.
