Trials of Osiris and PvP

Now, we have tried literally everything to make this game mode better for the low skill gamers. No flawless lighthouse, showering free loot, ect. They will not play regardless, you need to get your old player base back not the ever whining casuals who hop game to game regardless. Now that we know that doesn’t work, let’s please get back to focusing on the sandbox. That is why people aren’t playing the game, tone down these stupid abilities. It is a FPS. The S stands for SHOOTER not Spamming easy to use and op abilities.

  • Bungie has been catering to casuals for several years at this point there is no going back most of the people who used to care aren’t coming back. The game is never going to be revived.

    It's the matchmaking thats the problem. Tired of constantly playing against stacked team that players have zero chance of have an even match or playing with potatoes. Solo pool was the most fair matchmaking. Because the teams would be random. The flawless pool was great because it forced higher skill players to finally play against each other. The card resets were a problem with higher skilled players. So they didn't like playing against each other and abused the system using it to stay out of the flawless pool. No matter how much loot you provide. The stress of not having fair matchmaking will force players out of trials.

  • its called build crafting if you dont have abilities it turns into COD or everyone using the same gun skill issue honestly

    • I prefer they make targeted nerfs to specific ability's uptime rather than blanket nerfs like Prismatic. I do think they had a nice balance with the half checkmate settings. Miss the special bar too.

        I think the best time I had in Trials was back when Flawless Pool and Fireteam Based MM was around. It was fun to hang out with all the other peeps and farm Adepts like that I bounced when they started aggressively changing the sandbox and brought back ammo crates. The Online out-of-game Community also has a hand in making the game unfun to engage with

          Dude, you are a guardian rank 6. You are the definition of the word casual. FYI, casual has nothing to do with skill Gaming Karen. go figure, you are a hunter main—the casual class of D2.

          • Destiny has never been an pvp fps shooter clown. Its a looter shooter. Pvp is literally just there for something else to do, not the main focus of the game. Not to mention the entire premise, is that we only have characters to play as, due to space magic. Which is why we're able to get more weapons, armor, get stronger, etc... The fact people such as yourself havent figured out most of the playerbase are casuals, and most left due to nonstop changes most dont want is astonishing. Especially since it impacts pve. All people such as yourself ever seem good for is crying for nerfs on everything that isnt handcannons and shotguns, as well as abilities. Mostly hunters, followed closely by titans. Which directly affects pve...the main focus of the game to begin with. But hey, keep shouting into the ether for a game mode thats NEVER been popular, and has ALWAYS been the LEAST POPULATED game mode in destiny. Keep advocating for changes and whatnot the majority of players dont care for. Its not like Destiny has died off or anything. [spoiler]In case you didnt figure it out, the game has died off. *claps slowly*[/spoiler]

            • Heres an actual solution. Return trials to what it was and make these changes into a passage of practice only accessible by new and low skill players. They play only in that pool and get 1 of 3 static adept versions if they meet the requirements to get an adept (same as current system). Have 1 roll be PvE focused, 1 be PvP focused and the third be balanced. Have them be either 3/5 or 4/5 rolls. Players in this pool get a white glow. Return the glow by shader system and have 1 emblem be red, another be blue, the rest be gold and none trials emblems be white (have dazzling iridescent change between the three flawless colours)

                    • You're right. The problem is that they split the player base up. Trials was way better when it was one big pool. It encouraged people to join fireteams. I played in the solo que and they put me with a two stack against a 3 stack of cheaters who hadn't lost all weekend. But it's turning into the solo que being the best option again and will dwindle down the population again

                      They need to add Summoner, Aisha’s Embrace, The Immortal, Burden of Guilt, Cataphract and update their perk pools. Better guns will get plenty of players motivated to play. I agree about ability spam though and making the other classes have more competitive kits would help. Warlock has two builds and two exotics that are really old with no new exotics or updated subclasses. It’s absurd.
