You can't, the quest and common skimmer were removed from players at reset so even if you could've opened the final focus activity package it wouldn't have counted for the quest

Because kick time was as the event was ending and Bungie began kicking players 3-5 minutes early. You would've needed to stay on past kick time and the event end time (7am PDT) long enough to get the drop and open it (some people took ~15+ mins to get it after restarting D2) to have been able to have it count [quote]Why have that last activity if it wouldn’t count?[/quote] Because it was on a timer and it lined up like that.
