No, I don’t think sbmm is the way to go. That would make Trials something it’s not. But that’s my opinion Would I enjoy hearing toxic sweats whine about it not being fun because they only face other sweats? Yes. The irony of those complaints would be hilarious. But it would also kill it for people who aren’t -blam!-. What I’d like is a minor balancing adjustment to make teams be less lopsided at base, as in my original post. Skilled players would (and should) still just as easily stomp unskilled players. But the base composition of a team wouldn’t be favored in one direction from the get go. And a stricter ftbmm to avoid constant solo v stack matches. That’s all really. Trials should overall remain what it is. A place where those with skill can achieve what those without skill can’t. Again, all just my opinion

I dunno. Maybe? I don’t pretend to have all the answers on this one. For example, the fact that Trials has become more accessible to low skill players and solo players isn’t a bad thing per se. It gives them a chance at interesting loot. And in turn, their presence increases the player pool, plus it’s basically a free win for players who are high skilled, right? Personally I’d still just advocate for a tiny bit of careful balancing. 🤷🏻♂️

That’s what the FTBMM is, you chose to play solo and cry about 2 stacks when they said from the beginning you’ll be playing 2 stacks as a solo. The only other option is what’s in comp. Assuming you have less than a 50% win rate in comp, you apply that to a sbmm trials environment and you’ll never go flawless. You and everyone else that cries about it being unbalanced need a carry, plain and simple you can’t and won’t do it yourselves either way
