It’s a 25% drop rate. You should average 1 in 4 but that doesn’t mean you will get 1 in 4.
The chances of 6 runs with no drop is 17%. With every successive run the probability of failure decreases. At 20 runs you’d be more likely to be in a car accident then to not get an exotic.

I no ya pain am doing master and have ran around 12 or more so far and have only had 1 exotic with stats no one would want for a hunter same thing happend to me on the legs the other day grinded it out to be given around 2 exotics and not even worth using as the stats were not what i need for me hunter

I’ve kind of given up on lost sectors for exotics and am just going to try my hand at GM. The time investment for some of them is just too much. They used to take like 3 minutes to complete and now placed like Gilded Percept take around 15 minutes there’s so many enemies. Even on patrol I think it takes around 9 minutes to clear everything out 🤣

That’s a significant sample size It’s not impossible though, just highly improbable.
