So Bungie, you’ve committed to dungeon burnout?

I remember when you said layers of RNG were a bad thing. Why has this notion not been applied to dungeons? You’ve stated that there is too much crafting(a bad take in my opinion)so I can see that asking for making dungeon weapons craftable is a lost cause, but dungeons desperately need focusing if not crafting. Farming 300+ dungeon encounters should not produce zero desired weapon rolls. This kind of farming is unreasonable. How is a system where we are helpless to improve our chances to get a desired roll a good thing? Nobody likes being helpless. It doesn’t fell good and it’s not fun. Dungeons have no moderation when it comes to RNG. Something is needed to alleviate that, and you have said this in the past. I want to be encouraged to chase something, encouraged to play the game, not feel like I’m being exploited for login time. Which is exactly what dungeon farming currently feels like. So again, have you forgotten your own philosophy regarding RNG?

  • The thing with crafting is that it also helps clear out the vault. No more “this may be good if Bungie wants to have an X meta” weapons. I’d probably have like 300 less spaces in my vault if all weapons were craftable. Plus it’s the perfect balance of having everybody on an even playing field. That was the goal of having static rolls in vanilla D2. This gives everyone that ability while also giving a grind to get to that point. Crafting had potential but they never found their stride with it from its beginning
