Ever since D1 I've made lore for my guardians. It's no different in D2. Like for me personally I had 3 guardians; a hunter, titan, and warlock. Since in D2 only my hunter showed up, I like to think that what had happened is that me previous warlock and titan died a final time during the Red War since everyone's light got taken away. Long story short, I have lore for my guardians and for my clan. But my clan is a story for another time.

Sounds like fun but all my friends are lame and never wanna do -blam!- so I just write story’s for my guardians.

Idk if it counts, but I’ve given backstories and personalities to all my guardians based on how I play, my favorite parts of the lore, and how they look so that my gameplay feels more immersive.

Back in the good ol' D1 days, I remember creating my own personal questline with objectives centered around gathering Vex fragments and infusing it with both light and darkness in order to create a paracausal Radiolaria core to stuff into that "Overmind Minotaur" boss, which I would then solo the first round of a higher-level PoE in order to face. However, the time in which I went about doing that was when we only had early D1 lore, while I was 13, and knew absolutely nothing about said lore to begin with. Really, the way Destiny's story is now, there's not much room for roleplay if you're lookin' to stay true to canon.
