Cant use checkpoints, gotta be done in one go without error coding, leaving or black screen->respawning

Official statement from Bungie? no, community posts over the last few years? plenty ST you could checkpoint - pit/prophecy have had bugs that let you do it Grasp and Duality haven't had any point that you could CP for the triumph
