Eleanor Stonewall: One of the finest shots in Fireteam Goliath. "It was only minutes after my eyes were met with the gentle, welcoming rays of the sun when I was approached by a large Titan named Peru Zanzibar. My life, on that day, changed forever." -Eleanor Stonewall Eleanor was just like any other New Light, taking in that first breath of air and moving your stiff joints after God knows how many years, but Eleanor had a natural gift of marksmanship, and that was the feature that would define her for her entire existence. Eleanor blinked her honey-colored eyes to rid them of whatever debris snuck their way into them and found herself lying in a stagnant pool of brackish water, wearing nothing but torn-up clothing and mangled combat boots. From the corner of her eye, Eleanor saw a glimmer of light under the water's dark surface. Eleanor allowed a curious hand to reach for it, and what it retrieved was the weapon that would seal her legend; a Survivors Epitaph dressed in purple and white metallic plating which shimmered like one-thousand stars on a clear night. As Eleanor examined the weapon, a purple speck invaded her peripheral vision. Turning to it, Eleanor saw her Ghost, Robin, spinning its shell merrily as he observed his Guardian. Eleanor tilted her head slightly to the side. "Who?" "I am your Ghost! My name is Robin, and I am here to help you in your fight against the Darkness!" Robin chirped in response to Eleanor's bewildered 'who?'. "The Darkness?" Eleanor inquired as she slowly rose to her feet. Before Eleanor could speak another word, Robin cut her off suddenly. "Woah! Guardian! You need some fresh clothes!" "...yes, but where can I find some? There's nothing here but trees, bushes, and this puddle of water I'm standing in," Eleanor stated. Suddenly, the ground began to vibrate, which caused the young Huntress to freeze. "He-hey! Uh...Robin! Do you feel that?" Suddenly, a dark shadow loomed overhead; whatever or whoever owned it was immense in stature. Eleanor turned around and saw a Titan. A huge Titan standing seven-foot-five inches tall and had the mass of two large men. Eleanor's heart jumped into her throat when her eyes fell upon the man. Too stunned to say anything, all she could do was stare. A thunderous chuckle came from deep within the chest of the Titan before he removed his helmet to ease the Huntress' worry. A man with grey hair and vibrant green eyes was the owner of the immense figure. The man smiled. "Why hello, New Light. Are you lost?" the Titan asked in a strong, Dutch accent deep enough to shake a mountain. Eleanor stared up at the man in awe. The Titan chuckled. "Well, allow me to give a proper introduction. My name is Peru Zanzibar. I am the leader of Fireteam Goliath, and we're looking for willing Guardians to join our ranks." "Fireteam?" Eleanor muttered in response. "What's a Fireteam?" Peru chuckled. "A Fireteam is a group of Guardians who are tasked to protect the City and its people." Peru folded his arms. "I can tell just by looking at you that you're a quick learner, so you'd be easy to train." "Train?" Eleanor responded. Eleanor pointed to her chest. "You...want to train...me?" "Of course. We can use another Hunter." Peru offered his hand for Eleanor to shake. "I will forge you into something the world cannot fathom. I will make you a threat." Eleanor looked at her Ghost for reassurance; her Ghost nodded. Eleanor looked back up at the hulking man, grabbed his hand, and shook it gently. Peru smiled, then gave Eleanor a firm pat on the back before leading her back to his camp. "You've made the right choice...er...what's your name?" Peru inquired, leaning down, awaiting a response. "Eleanor. Eleanor Stonewall."

  • This is awesome! Peru Zanzibar has got to be my favorite character that I've seen so far! I love the image of a mountain sized Titan standing over a new light saying, "Allow me to introduce myself". Great work!

  • Eleanor Stonewall: Diary of a Hunter, segment one. "I fear no evil." The Hive; vicious, heartless creatures with bloodlust on their mind, but I, Eleanor Stonewall, have nothing to fear. I roamed down into the gut of the Hellmouth and heard the tormented screams of the dammed, hollering out twisted cries of war as the scent of my Light touched their nostrils. My Ghost and I stood firm as a horde of Thralls came darting out of the darkness with their claws extended, their eyes showing only one emotion; hatred. I smirked from behind my mask, reached for my Hand Canon, and let off six shots, scoring six headshots. I chuckled to myself. "Too easy." As I went to head deeper into the seemingly endless maze of tunnels, my Ghost's shell suddenly opened with surprise. "Guardian! Behind you!" Robin shouted. Before I could react, I felt a pair of large, filthy hands grab my shoulders and spin me around with no effort. My eyes were suddenly beholding a massive Knight, which stood at least ten feet tall. I growled behind clenched teeth and allowed my anger to take control; a flaming pistol sprung to life in my hand, and I let three shots fly into the Knight, turning it to ash. "Guardian, we need to leave now!" My Ghost exclaimed. I stared at him blankly; a bellowing roar caught my attention. The wall was suddenly smashed down, revealing a massive Ogre. I stared up at the terrible beast without an ounce of fear before I looked down at my Golden Gun, which still burned hot. I took my Hand Canon into my other hand and let years of pent-up anger get released onto the foe that stood before me. One Golden Gun shot, then a bullet; rinse and repeat. You know the cycle. The Ogre hollered out in pain before it unleashed its eyebeam. I dove behind a nearby rock; my Golden Gun soon left my hand. I looked at my Ghost. "What should we do?" I inquired. "Do you have your knife on you?" Robin asked. I peered down at my belt, and yes, I indeed had my knife on me. I looked at my Ghost and nodded; I suddenly had an idea so crazy that it might just work, and boy, did it. "I'm going to make this Ogre eat steel." I drew my knife; the Ogre stomped closer to my position. I didn't have much time. "Wish me luck." Robin took cover, and I began to run toward the Ogre; any other creature in the room didn't matter at that time. All that mattered was killing the Ogre and retreating to the surface. I tripled jumped onto the Ogre's back, then began to scale up it as if it were a mountain. As I ascended, I narrowly escaped the beast's grabbing hands, even receiving a few wounds in the process, but that didn't deter me from my goal. Once I reached the Ogre's shoulders, things started to get tough. The Ogre began to relentlessly slam its back against the wall; once false move, and it was game over. As I prepared my knife, a horde of Thralls came flying out of the woodwork and started scaling the Ogre, trying to drag me down into the masses. A few Acolytes showed up as well. I felt their deplorable claws dig into my legs, and I let out a wail. I quickly put my knife away, unholstered my Hand Canon, then fired away at the Thralls, chipping away at the masses, one bullet at a time. The Ogre grew increasingly more aggressive with each passing second, and with that aggression came more attempts to crush me between the wall and itself, but I kept my wits about me and managed to stay out of danger. With the Thralls suppressed, I finally got the chance to quickly dispatch the Ogre by chucking my knife down its gullet, and with that, I jumped to the ground and made my great escape to the Lunar surface. -Eleanor Stonewall's diary, twenty years after resurrection.

  • Thank you so much. I've been working on both of their backstories for a few years now.
