Stats and builds are a core part of destinies game play. Also farming Stat rolls on armor and perks on guns is the entirety of destiny 2 game play loop... I think saying that you aren't meant to farm ANYTHING in this game which is a looter shooter mmo is extremely inaccurate.

I don't think people are going bananas over god rolls. People are upset with lack of ways to even start to improve your rolls. I understand that you won't always get a God roll, but we are talking about a system where you could farm a lost sector for 3 hours and only get a couple of exotics, let alone one you would actually want or has a decent (not god) roll. The entire point of a master lost sector is the exotic since it doesn't reward anything else except maybe a core. What is the point of even doing a master lost sector if you are almost guaranteed to not get anything? Again I understand RNG trust me I've been gaming for over 20 years, but there is a difference between decent RNG mechanics in a game and an artificially extended grind fest for no reward.

Maybe that’s how you see it. But for majority of endgame players and veterans, build crafting is one of the most fun and engaging aspects of the game. That’s why lost sectors have become a resource to farm exotics because people want to be able to make the builds they want. However it is extremely difficult to do that now with how unforgiving sectors are.
-
That's how it is and that's exactly the reason why LS work the way they work. You are supposed to work with whatever you get and maybe hope for a better roll. If your expectations are not in line with reality there's nothing wrong with the latter but rather the former.
-
Being forced to “roll with the punches” after grinding 200+ lost sectors for hours and not getting a single exotic with good stats is definitely a great way to keep players invested. If exotic me aren’t meant to be farmed then why do you think lost sectors are in the game at all?
-
Well, again. You are just projecting your expectations. LS unlock your seasonal exotics and put them in the world pool. That's all they do. Grinding them is inefficient because that's how they were made. You take what you can get and hope for better drops in future but they may never materialise. That's how the game works.
-
Because that's what they do. It still doesn't mean it makes sense to use them as a source because the drop chance is low. It's like playing the lottery. Like not having multiple 100 builds would put you at a massive disadvantage...

The odds being so low is the exact point of the post though. They are farmable, they are meant to be farmable, said farm is terrible. OP wants Bungie to balance it better. You’re running in circles for no discernible reason here. If people want better farms for high stat exotics, who does that hurt? If you’re worried about new exotics being too easy to maintain, restrict the farm until you already have all exotics in that slot. Simple.
