The reason people get confused by the rules is because they are open to interpretation and not always enforced. They get enforced with extreme sensitivity in some cases and completely ignored in others, especially when judging if a post is disruptive or disrespectful.
If I really wanted to, if I dialled up my sensitivity to eleven, I could find disruption or disrespect in most topic threads. Which posts receive a code violation and which ones don‘t, appears to be pot luck.
I would love to give examples, but of course I can’t, because that’s a code violation!
I don’t know what the solution to this is. More Ninjas to enforce the rules consistently? Dial back the sensitivity a little? View the context/purpose of comments when judging them against the code of conduct? Offer users a chance to clarify or rephrase their comment (where the purpose of the comment is unclear)?
How do you feel about ‘Ninja Justice’?
(Please keep your comments thoughtful and constructive.)
I’m not talking about a specific code violation or ban. I’m talking about ‘Ninja Justice’ in general. I’ve seen a Ninja discussing this subject with someone in another thread, so I assume it’s okay for me to do so.

But I’m not sure because… see topic post.
Great example! This topic gets quickly moved from OffTopic to Companion App (where nobody will read it).
Meanwhile, another topic is filled with Ninjas and conversation about moderation (I’m talking about the comments that are nothing to do with the Bungie Bounty event), which are all fine in the Destiny 2 forum apparently:
