Which DLC should I get 1st & why?
Which DLC would anyone recommend i get first & what are the perks to getting that dlc?

Then download Destiny 2 and play as a free player till Lightfall and see if that expansion is worth it. Best experience for your money.

There's some really good ones in there (Ace of Spades, Izinagi's Burden, etc) Shadowkeep gets you Garden of Salvation (raid, pretty good also gets you Divinity), Pit of Heresy (dungeon), as well as Shadowkeep Era exotics (really nice ones like Erianna's Vow a handcannon with built in anti barrier). Beyond Light gets you the Stasis subclass (though it's a grind and a half for it), Deep Stone Crypt (raid, lots of fun and my personal favorite) and Beyond Light Era exotics (lots of fun ones, nothing major that I can think of off the top of my head). 30th Anniversary pack gets you Grasp of Avarice (dungeon, only way to get Gjallarhorn) Witch Queen gets you Vow of the Disciple (raid, really good weapons in there), decent chunk of the craft able weapons, and Witch Queen Era exotics. Dungeon Key gets you Duality (dungeon, pretty good guns from that) Lightfall gets you Strand (new subclass), the raid, and whatever else they throw in there. Pre order the deluxe edition and you'll get the Quicksilver Storm auto rifle right now. It's a fun gun, part auto rifle and part nade launcher. Edit: Prophecy (dungeon) is free, thanks to Musket for the info.

Just preorder Lightfall and wait until then. Reason is anything else you'd buy is already pretty stale, you'll have trouble finding help on older content, when you do find it, they'll probably be more a hindrance than anything else, and you'll be in catch up mode for a long time only to get soft reset at LF anyway. Just play seasons for now and be content to be locked out on content. Maybe get the Dungeon next season. Get warmed up and little then dive in for real for real in Lightfall. You'll have a much better experience.
