Personally my experience with overload bows has been good. Be sure to fully draw the arrow to trigger the overload shot. As I recall when champions were first added, people had issues with stunning them because they didn't know they had to aim down sights with pulse rifle to trigger unstoppable/overload shots. Overload bows on the other hand you just need to fully draw the arrow, not even aim down sights. Which to me makes it one of the better mods. Unlimited range, 1 shot stun, can fire from the hip, unlimited ammo.

For tips PvE ALWAYS hit your crits. Dont be afraid to hipfire if your target is close. Bows have infite range, use this to clear from as far away as youd like. PvP Peekshots are your lifeblood. remember the 60/40 rule. and try to learn lines of sight on every map so you can peak from safer spots. Reply Edit

for pve your god roll is always the same, archers tempo/ explosive head. for pvp its more based on your playstyle and preference, but generally you just want to fire as fast as possible. archers/rapid hit, archers/ successful. rapid hit/successful, and in the case of the new trials bow, rapid/killclip for 1tap crits or rapid/gutshot for easy 2tap body's For solar you can farm last wish for Tyranny of Heaven or try for a Strident Whistle from Vanguard activities, though it has a much lower drop rate this season, it was dropping a lot last season which is when I farmed it. Strident has more good rolls, aside from archers/explosive it can also get archers/incandescent. and for pvp it can roll archers/sucessful warmup for insanely fast RoF, or even a 100 accuracy rangefinder/opening shot for near-garaunteed headshots. Void your only obtainable option atm is Under Your Skin, which can be rolled from engrams at the War Table in the HELM. Again, archers/explosive and archers/successful. I do however have an archers/frenzy Imperial Needle that has been my favorite bow since season of the chosen when it was available. Sadly, no longer attainable. Arc has the most options, but the hardest to target farm. Xur and banshe will sell Arsenic Bite every so often, and aside from archers/explosive it can roll with the rare double dmg combo of explosive/rampage Wolftone Draw can roll with archers tempo/adagio which is unique as adagio give a damage buff at reduced draw speed, but then archers counteracts the draw speed giving you flat dmage buff. Drops from beyond light activities, and on europa in general. Then there's the easiest to obtain, Point of the stag. Buy this straight from the monument to lost lights. While it can feel sluggish, it does great damage, and having vorpal makes it great for champions when you have overload or antibarrier bows. For kinetics you have three options. Accrued Redemption can be farmed from the 1st encounter in GoS when its in the legends rotation. Can roll with the usual archrs temp/explosive or archers tempo/rapid hit for speed Whistle's Whim is the new trails bow, able to roll with rapid hit/ killclip, rapid/archers, and rapid/successful. Not the easiest to farm, but just playing all weekend ona flawed 7-win card will net you more than enough trials packages to focus for it. Last one is Fel Taradiddle, farmed from WellSpring, craftable, and the usual, archer's tempo/explosive.
