How about they add content for gambit, pvp and strikes before they do this? Noone plays these 4 and a half year old abandoned activities for fun other than for their weekly pinnacles anymore, so who cares.
Only thing they've done to those playlists within the past 3 years was removing maps and strikes.

The funny thing is you think it’s Dares or playlist activities. The reality is it’s Destiny or the other game(s) Bungie is developing. All that money you spent on WQ DLC, seasons and Eververse doesn’t go back into Destiny. Bungie is using it to fund resources for other projects they are working on. PVP will never get a revamp.

I think you missed what the OP was saying. Strange coins use to drop from basically all activities in Destiny 2 last season when the 30th Anniversary Update came out on December 7th, 2021. This was clearly not "4 and a half years ago" but almost 3 and a half 'months' ago. They now no longer drop except for only while doing Dares of Eternity which makes it much more harder for people to acquire gear from the 30th Anniversary during Season of the Risen as opposed to the passive acquiring from Season of the Lost.
