I like the idea; however, it’s not feasible for any player with “decent” armor. If you have Artifice armor, there’s no chance in hell you’re swapping an extra mod slot for a passive intrinsic perk. (i.e., UNIFORMED OFFICER, IRON LORD’S PRIDE, etc.)

Give us a “Destinized” version of Diablo III’s Kanai’s Cube...
For those who aren’t familiar with this feature, the cube essentially allows a player to consume a piece of armor that you’ve obtained that has an intrinsic perk, subsequently, storing the perk in the cube.
Once a piece of gear has been acquired and consumed, you can return to the cube and select which perks you want active at any time. Want to farm Iron Banner? Go to the cube and slot Iron Lord’s Pride. Want to farm Seasonal activity? Slot Uniformed Officer…
This allows players to benefit from the intrinsic perks without sacrificing high-stat or build specific armor. Players who aren’t as concerned with their stat rolls, can simply equip the armor instead of taking it to the cube and consuming the item.
