FPS Issues and no eta/updates

HI all. After spending nearly a week on troubleshooting, I have concluded that the majority of those experiencing problems with destiny 2 regarding poor fps, stuttering and "lag" (not network related) are not at fault from their hardware. It seems the issue ranges wildly between all types of graphics cards, from low 10 series Nvidia cards up to 3090's and the same with amd users too, from mere Rx series of cards all the way to their highest teir cards like the 6600XT. Now I've reset my pc, twice. Fresh installed windows and everything. gone through every subreddit i can find that is a small change that i could try and.... Nothing. Changing any of the settings in game seems to do little to help either, maxing out everything only costs about 5 extra frames, so it does seem like the problem lies elswhere. Im running on an RTX 2070 Mobile Max-Q. Admittedly this isnt a fantastic card by any means, but it theoretically outperforms my friends 1660 yet I am getting half the fps that he is averaging. I also have an octa core i7 10875h and 16gb of 3200 ddr4 ram. These componants run Cyberpunk with RTX on at max settings at 50 fps, which IM GETTING IN DESTINY 2! I'm hoping this gets addressed soon beacuse as far as im aware this was the reason the DCV was introduced, and if this doesnt improve by launch or shortly thereafter the launch of witch queen, then i honestly believe ill have to give up on this game that i love so much. I understand the majority of replies to this will be have you tried x,y,z but im more making this post to hopefully create traction and for hopefully someone at bungie to recognise and put a statement out on. Please do share your prblems with fps if you do have them, hopefully it can boost this post. Thanks Guardians -

  • Wanted to come back to this thread to give a potential solution. I have been playing around with the shader cache in the NVIDIA control panel settings (Right click on desktop > click on NVIDIA control panel settings > manage 3D settings > global settings) I have been having a better experience at 512mb shader cache. Some people said disabling it entirely is good, but that didn’t work for me. It actually made the stuttering worse. I would try all of the settings to see if it helps. Try and stay away from the unlimited shader cache option unless you have a ton of extra space on your ssd or hard drive. If you do the unlimited you will have to manage how many shaders are being saved to your computer. Hope this helps! It definitely had helped but has not solved it completely.
