The thing is the gun is insanely hard to balance without making the gun garbage, as shown as how dramatic the usage of DMT dropped on Console. I think they’re trying to avoid a Last Word situation where input majorly varies. I do however believe Vorpal should be removed on DMT. A gun shouldn’t three tap any super in the game, let alone a primary at any range.

  • Even if it dropped in usage on console it is still one of the most popular and effective weapons in pvp in general, because according to destiny tracker, DMT is the second most used primary weapon in both quickplay and comp pvp for usage, and the highest kills in comp of any primary (second most in quickplay). Additionally yea it may be difficult to balance a weapon, but when one has such supreme ease of use, and a very competitive TTK at any range I feel that warrants a change. Also, while the Last Word changes did hit it hard on console vs pc, it's still in the top 10 of primaries in quickplay and top 5 in comp for usage, so it's also very viable in general.

  • The Destiny Tracker usage rates are skewed, because its a combination of console and PC kills, with PC having the higher population. And when DMT is so strong on that one input and 90% of them use DMT, then of course it would be number 2. And Bungie has literally stated on record, that DMT’s usage on console dropped dramatically after the nerf, which is the sole reason DMT got buffed(only for controller). You can’t take the usage rates seriously after Bungie combined the pools

    So it's overly strong on PC then, which with cross play being the default I don't understand the point of separating console vs PC, we share the same gameplay space. Like just because it may be bad on console that doesn't make it balanced on PC or mean that it shouldn't get changed. If anything that's indicative of how strong it is that even with minimal usage on console it's still so highly used in general. I'm not sure what your point is.
