Greetings, Guardians! I have an interesting and cool idea to share with you guys. I do so with the hopes of getting some feedback on the quality of the idea. Like, you know how in Destiny we got the Exotic tier of weapons and armors as some of the strongest in our warrior arsenal, right? The exotic engrams and weapons are supposed to be the highest in quality and rarity. Well, now that the game is going with this [Redacted] alternate road, just as we are now also wielding [Redacted] in this latest dlc, what if... we had a new type of engram/tier of weapons? So, follow me here.. Exotics could fall into the [Redacted] tier. Weapons that share the exotic rarity could be used or rendered to as weapons of [Redacted], in a way. Now, imagine they create a whole new tier of weapon/armor, which rival Exotics in thematic and Strenght, but these weapons will have a whole more sinister thematic, working with a slew of new elemental types from the [Redacted] side. Hell, they could also have a whole new set of mechanics for them. Like, they could have mechanics where you lost life with every shot if is not a precision shot, or in the case of a heavy weapon, like, this weapon will use your melee ability opportunity as ammo, or your grenades, but in the same way it could have an intrinsic ability which would be worth it or what have you. You get my drift? Wouldn't that be kinda cool? They could play with this in many different kind of ways. This new engram type could have interesting effects to boot... For example, Maybe have some passive ability in the mod section, that would only take place if the current elemental class is from the [Redacted] tree. They could also restrict usage of such engrams, allowing them to only be equiped while using a [Redacted]? Just random thoughts. I do think it would spice things up a bit, as well as follow the thematic in the current lore. I do think that it would add some contrast to the gameplay. As an ending to this random concept, how about a name? Abyssal engram? Deep engram? (Like how the God worms were trapped within the depths of the sea in fundament? Sunken engram?
