Heath, Avenger of Hive
Vengeance: to take action into one’s own hands to deliver justice; to make right the wrongs of your foes.
Let me be absolutely clear: I can’t stand the Hive.
They’re nasty. They have those three eyes that stare into your soul and judge you with an unforgiving gaze. Their three fingers freak me out like you wouldn’t believe.
They’re devoted to their stupid magics. Resurrecting one another in the name of sword-logic, only to cast them back down into Traveler knows what. I’ve watched so many Guardians fall because of the Hive. Seen so many Ghosts lose their light.
I hate the Hive.
But when one of them who has a sliver of Light inside them, who shows attributes completely unlike the Hive, who offers the key to defeating the last bastion of Hive leadership and dies under her corruption…
I am willing to put aside hate for the good of humanity. Not the city, not the Traveler; only humanity and the alliances we have formed with the exos and the Awoken.
I go now to the grave of the Hive wizard who contained that sliver of Light. Why he was buried at all when his knowledge was so useful, I have no idea. Whoever buried him was an idiot.
I’m leaving this message for you, Zavala, so you know exactly what I’m doing. I know exactly what I’m doing. It just happens to be something that has never been done before.
I’m going to revive a Hive wizard. I can imagine the fury on your face.
Which is why I’m laughing hysterically.
