Last but not least, what other games (that you know of) that has a competitive multiplayer, has a level advantage in the only PVP matches that REALLY matter. No one cares about anything but trials of Osiris and the iron banner. So if you want these over powered weapons you need to be a higher light level to any chance of actually having fun. You're also wrong pretty much throughout. Felwinters can't shoot further than your snipers. Yes we get it, felwinters has range, but its not that bad if you have even a shred of map awareness (get gud). 20-30 seconds of freeze? Behave. 5 seconds was maximum without mashing the buttons. Also, chances are, if you're getting frozen now it's because you were either in a bad position (in which case get gud) or it was a super (in which case most supers in the game are guaranteed kills so not exactly worth whining over). Loads of games have metas, short of going back to y1d2 where everyone had fixed rolls we aren't gonna be able to have true balance. It's a space fantasy shooter. Balance was never on the cards. What's your point? PvE players have to play pvp for certain quests etc so why should crucible players be allowed to hit max cap by only playing pvp? Also, you can do comp on day 1 of a season and be at powerful cap pretty much by the time you hit 5500 (unless of course you can't hit 5500 in which case get gud). Im a pvp main but I accept destiny isn't a hyper competitive shooter. It never will be. It was never supposed to be. Get over yourself. You're giving us pvp players a bad name.

You said it. It's a joke. It's a casual arcade spacemagic arena FPS without any semblance of true sandbox balance. Always was always will. It's not and wont ever be competetive as in a true competetive enviroment. It's p2p for christ sake to begin with. Just abandon the thought. You'll be happier for it.

It's not a competitive shooter. That's not to say you cant be competitive and seek to win. The way the whole game is built doesn't lend it to being perfectly balanced the way a true competitive shooter is. I get balancing is important and they should reach for as much balance as possible. PvP players want to "main" D2 but at the end of the day, the identity of the game doesn't lend itself to this hyper competitive well balanced shooter a small subset of the community thinks it should be. There are too many variables with weapons and abilities and perks etc for this game to be a Counter Strike, a Halo, a Rainbow Six Siege, an Overwatch, or a Valorant. It would take a dramatic paring back of systems to reach that level and at that point, in my opinion, it's no longer Destiny.

Dice shot them selves in the foot with BF5 metas..oooh dmrs ( assault class ) are too strong I guess we’ll nerf bi-pods...oooh 720rmp SMGs ( medic class ) are too strong I guess we’ll nerf bi-pods again and add a longer ttk to the support class..it doesn’t matter the game one or two things will always be strong and people will gravitate towards it.

It’s a “shooter” where you’re better off not shooting It’s a joke of a game, but it’s fun if you don’t take it seriously. Just spam your abilities and go hide for 10 seconds until you get them back. Rinse and repeat
