Can you clarify what your issue is? You've played Destiny 2 about 43 hours total, give or take, and have no deleted characters. Are you perhaps confusing your Destiny 2 playtime with your Destiny 1 playtime? If you're talking about the initial mission being the waking up one for A Guardian Rises; because your Hunter hadn't played in a while, it may be required to do the New Light questline to get you up to speed. Also, please note that having two characters of the same class will cause you to lose out on some of the rewards as many of the challenges, raids, and the like will only grant full rewards to each class once per week, so completing them on a second character of the same class will give you little to nothing.
