[i]When the world felt the pulse of energy, so did Wierd, it felt like a reset... an awakening of something with in. Moments later he triangulates the location of the pulse and lands near the mountain and makes the trek to the sea beneath to overlook the event[/i]

Not boulders...yet... The catacombs are empty. No patrolling undead, nor even regular dead save the bones within the stone and dirt walls. Descending an obnoxiously long spiral staircase you eventually come to a balcony overlooking a deep chasm, and you sense the energy far below

The flare falls, and falls...and falls. You can just make out the pinprick inflight before it vanishes. But you also notice several other small pinpricks below, and can hear the very distant echoes of battle seconds later.
