Comp solo rigged

I’ve posted this before and gotten crap for it but this is not right. I already hit legend and I don’t have anyone to play with so I only play solo comp. The same problem I had getting to legend is still happening. If your lucky enough to hit Mythic 3 and lose two games in a row it’s like it triggers a massive losing streak. I might get lucky and win one game here or there but it’s like it doesn’t count because you get almost no points for one win so I went from mythic 3 all the way to fabled 3 and my losing streak is still going. Doesn’t matter how good I play we lose. I seem to get at least 10 games where one or two teammates are really low level players. I thought this was supposed be where if you win some you get a few games on it’s blueberries not 10 or more games in a row? Also the games where we win the first round a teammate gets the boot and we lose, next game more blueberries while the teams we play against are all unbrokens, Legend rank, flawless gear. At this point I’m convinced there is something not right. Didn’t matter if I took a break, changed characters, I even quit out a few in desperation to see if it changed anything (only when there was no hope for a win). From what Bungie said about matchmaking this season my experience should not even be possible. Even a low skill player should easily rank up if he keeps playing over and over everyday. Anyone else experience this?

  • It’s nearly impossible to go above mythic 2 I’ve lost 11 games in a row from it. The systems just keeps putting all the idiots on my team.

    • Comp does feel unfair sometimes. I swear I get so many teammates who hold onto their super until the match is basically over

      • I played some elimination today and lost back to back. It’s as if the worst people in my bracket will match on my team. I even had ‘flawless’ people in my team who had no fuucking idea how to play. This is the same experience I have in comp so I don’t even though that shiit anymore

      • Yes...comp solo is very frustrating. After hitting Legend...I'm getting matched with team mates who are saying, "oh...I don't know the map, I just started playing..." and things like that. It could be player count is low for Solo Comp. Some will say it's skill based match making, or similar ELO match making,...I know I'm not the best in the world...but after hitting Legend, I shouldn't be getting team mates who are just starting out and can't get a kill. I think one should be matched with team mates who are in similar brackets of rank in Glory.

        • My friend i feel your pain, i was at 5000 glory on solo, than every single match something felt "wrong" i was top of my team 90% of matches, some matches we were winning 3-0 and proceed to lose anyway, its like there is a switch that gives you some kind of invisible handicap, long story short i dropped from 5000 to around 3000 in a matter of hours thanks to the +10 losing streak, i thought to myself all those hours, days, effort and dedication spent to be stripped away in a finger snap, so what did i do? I did what any sensible person would do, i shifted my future monetary investments from silver, to a guy a that "carried" me to legend in 15 minutes. Thanks to bungie having a rigged, unfair matchmaking system, my money went to a private party instead of bungie's bank account so this is on them, i would advise you to do the same if you really wanna hit that legend "fair and square" Good luck

        • Good ole damage referee kicking in. My Chaperone...NEVER...EVER....one shots a Guardian, no matter the health they currently have. My Summoner...will melt n destroy for two games....then not kill anything til I die 5 or 6 times first.

          • Yup I get to mithis two and have a full win streak... Then bungi sends int e commoners as team mates with like 1500 glory rank and I lose like five times then I go on a streak again... Then rense and repeat. Ticked off.

Anyone else experience this?[/quote] Comp matchmaking is almost cbmm with no regard for rank. Before I hit 5500 I matched with people in heroic and below not even in fabled. This poor matchmaking is what is screwing you and ita been this way since comp introduced pinnacles.

          • Yup definitely seems like it. And it kicks in around specific levels: Fabled 3/Mythic 1 and Mythic 3-Legend. Happens like clockwork every damn season. I got lucky and passed the thresholds 1 season, but I tell you I really wanted to give up. Haven’t broken those spots since

            That’s the reason I tired to say just make it where wins count to progress with points. If you lose you lose so what. You won’t lose points in the process of just playing. You only gain points by winning period. But no. I get people who say then people will just quit or throw the match or abuse that system. So what if they do. They won’t get anywhere. Make it harder for them every time they quit put them against the players that stomp others. Promote that if you stay you will be matched with players on your level or whatever. I would still be playing destiny in it’s horrible state if comp only rewarded me for winning and not punishing me for even making an attempt. Play 100 matches lose 99 of them and only win 1. I would still play if I wasn’t punished for trying.

          • Every season I try to reach Legend and every season I seem to cap at Mystic 1 or 2. This season, I reach Mystic again then hit a depressing losing streak. I got knocked back all to Fabled and just gave up. There's no incentive to play since the pinnacles are being sunset.

            Solo comp is rigged I totally agree I have to team up with my stacked friends and curb stomp teams and hitting legend this season was jusr a pair of 10 game win streaks interrupted by a carry service after I hit fabled and it is interesting but never do competitive solo if you value your sanity

          • Reached 4200 multiple times this season solo, only to go on a losing streak and down to 3400 again. I just said -blam!- this im out

              • Here’s bungies SBMM and forces 50% matchmaking. It’s skill base matching you against people your skill but not skill bad matching your teammates. This is the biggest flaw in comp. with these combined factors if you are a good player you will be punished by this every game. The game puts you on a team expecting you to carry, while the 50% win loss factor is in play matching you against gods to drag your win percentage closer to 50%. Literally the only way to get to legend on freelance is be a freak of nature in D2 or be absolute shit because the game will put you on a team that will carry you. My friend has done this three seasons in a row and he’s a .8. This game punishes good players and rewards bad players for being bad.

              • Comp is definitely rigged. I noticed the same pattern a few seasons ago. This is one of the reasons I rarely play Comp anymore. I too tried the same strategies, such as taking an extended break, changing characters, quitting matches, and more but it made no difference. Now I just play a few matches occasionally for the seasonal triumph, and then I am done until next season. Bungie is completely clueless about how to handle PvP. The only way anything will ever change is if upper management gets rid of the decisionmakers in charge of Crucible. This is unlikely to happen. Instead of fixing the essential problems with matchmaking, they neglect Crucible for months and then foolishly attempt a remedy through weapon nerfs.

                • The game does it's best to balance the 6 player pool by total average points it seems along with some small kind of win/loss ratio scale per player. Which seems to be causing the lower Glory total players to always match the higher Glory total players while everyone in between has relatively decently balanced matches. Either way it is a crap system, and needs to just be based on connection & win/loss ratio or flat out KDA scale

                • I have a story that lends a little credibility to this, and anyone can check my profile for proof. I was playing survival:freelance recently (6 days ago for those that will check) and we were on Burnout. I was laughing like crazy at the people we were fighting, because I noticed they were, and I say this with the utmost love and adoration of them for sticking with it throughout the ordeal, complete garbage. Their highest K/D was 0.67, and none of them had any idea how to handle a gunfight in any way, and they were wasting their abilities in the worst way possible. I ended the match with 17 kills, and a 4.25 Efficiency. Compared to my teammates, who got 9 and 8 kills respectively, and a 4.0 Efficiency and a 1.5 Efficiency respectively. I do not say these things to brag. Fact of the matter is...I'm pretty bad at PvP, despite playing it more than anything else. My profile stats reflect this: any time I'm put against anyone with skill, I have a much harder time even holding my own, let alone winning, and in a real fight against PvP-exclusive players, I cannot and never have won. I understand this, accept it, and try to grow from it. But the fact that I was able to slay out so hard means I was put with people that have absolutely no idea how to PvP, and as a result, my Efficiency and such skyrocketed. My next match went similarly, with me facing enemies that clearly had no idea how to handle PvP. Again causing my Efficiency and such to skyrocket further due to the amount of kills and such that I got in the match. The reason I am telling you all of this is because the next match, I was put up against enemies I had absolutely NO business being put up against. People that I should NOT have been paired with. I was told that Survival and Survival freelance are the only two modes that are still Skill-Based Matchmaking. If this is the case, then the games algorithm needs a heavy re-work. Because the people I was up against for those first two matches 6 days ago had NO BUSINESS fighting me, and the people I ended up fighting after those first two were so far above me in skill that I had no business fighting them. I ended that next match with a 0.29 Efficiency, one teammate ended with 0.11, and another ended with 1.5. The enemy team though? 6.0, 3.7, and 2.0 respectively. We had absolutely NO business being paired with them. With skill-based matchmaking, the skill gap should NEVER be that large. But this is where the problem comes in. I don't think it's so much rigged as it is HEAVILY flawed. You do better, you get placed with better players. Do worse, you get placed with worse players. The issue is that if you're better than those your put with by leaps and bounds, you get put against players that have a similar AVERAGE EFFICIENCY. The problem here is that players that get, say, 4.0 or 6.0 or even 8.0 in matches REGULARLY are so far and above most players that they really only have business fighting other top-tier players and streamers. But when you get placed in a lobby with people that have no clue how to fight, and you end up with a 6.0 K/D because you're actually semi-competent in a fight and they aren't, then the next match goes the same way, the game decides "Okay they're getting a huge K/D consistently, they need to be put with people that get around the same" and your next match ends up being against people that also get that high of a K/D regularly. So if you're not actually on that level, and you just had a couple of matches against walking trash cans, you end up being put in a league you DON'T belong in, where YOU'RE the trash can by comparison, because the games logic is FLAWED. It needs to be fixed. Until it is, there will always be things that make it seem rigged, or intentionally set to 50/50 win rate. It's not INTENTIONAL, it's ACCIDENTAL, and symptomatic of a terrible way of determining "skill".

                  • So I think it’s three based my experience. There is skill based match making but only in the solo que and as it applies to team balancing. There is a forced 50/50 win-loss in the solo que. And there is also glory and skill based mm at mythic on. Basically the lower ranks are like the placement matches. When you get above 4200 almost all of the matches are with players that have similar glory. Then the team balancing uses the skill indicators to force the 50/50. I also found after you go legend once you will be matching the sweatiest players in the solo que at any given time. Really the only way to break the issues is to run with a team.

                      • Haven’t been able to make it past mythic 2 in a month. I long on and get 2 wins and then it’s all downhill from there. Sometimes I’ll press my luck and go for a third win but it just doesn’t seem to be in my favor no matter how well I played prior.
