I really am glad that Bungie is going back to having Adept weapons in Trials, I have 2 fundamental concerns:
1. If the Adept versions of weapons are overpowered, this can cause a Crucible imbalance where "the rich become richer". I don't think having +3 to each stat is game breaking, so no problems there, but I am a little concerned about the mods. Having mods that provide large bonuses to stats could be problematic, setting certain Adept weapons above all others in Crucible. I don't think it will be enough to break Crucible, but it is always a concern when looking at PVP.
2. Adept weapons cannot become the next Mountaintop/Recluse. The PVE meta should not be dominated by PVP exclusives (and I think the same should be true in the other direction, meaning the best PVP weapons shouldn't be locked behind raids). I don't think these weapons are going to give enough of an edge to become PVE meta, but it is a concern. I think an easy way around this is to have the mods only work in PVP or even Trials specifically, similar to how the Last Wish mods will be updated.
At the end of the day, I think Bungie needs to consider having Adept weapons for all endgame content. This includes Raids, Dungeons, and Grandmaster Nightfalls. This would allow more reasons to play endgame content overall.

I don't fundamentally disagree with that, which is why I suggest having more of these types of weapons for all kinds of endgame content. All I'm suggesting is that the added bonuses of Adept weapons need to be tuned such that it doesn't create a massive gap between the "have" and "have nots". Just to give a somewhat extreme example, let's say that masterworking an Adept weapon gives maximum stat points; max range, max handling, etc. If you are able to go into Quickplay with a weapon like that, the "have nots" will have no way to compete. This creates a gap in a game mode that is meant to be casual. Even if these weapons were limited to Trials, having maximum stats would on a weapon would completely imbalance games based on gear, not skills. Bungie is not implementing max stats, but any sort of advantage with Adept weapons widens the gap, which is what needs to be tuned appropriately. With that said, based on what I've seen so far, I don't think this will cause any note-worthy imbalances in the game, it is just something that needs to be considered.

由Dredgen Truth編輯: 10/23/2020 4:38:33 PMThey've talked about adept weapons for strikes, I hope raids and dungeons get them. Generally though, stats, except for impact and rate of fire, maybe magazine, dont have much of an effect on pve, and they aren't what makes something broken in pvp. The mods also only seem to really effect stats, from what we've heard. Basically, they shouldn't be so strong that they invalidate similar weapons. Itll be obvious that they're better, but not so much better that you'll always lose out to them if you dont have them. After all, its perks that make a weapon good more often than stats.

Basicly my thoughts to, even more reasons not to play crucible. Only playing it for the pinacles now. Not looking forward to iron banner in the future either, stacked teams with adapt weapons, thats gonna be loads of fun. Giving players some incentive is good, but when its just for the happy few,it carries on through all of the crucible playlist not just trials As said in other comments, to have or to have not is going to be a thing in crucible again. Cheers.
