If you won 5 in a row then lost 5 in a row you made progress.
I don't pay attention to points. I know that game 5 and higher on a win streak is like 250-300 points. A loss is what... 50 points max? 5 losses equal your point gain just for winning game 5. You should still be going positive.
The point system gives points now based on match performance I think. So if you got hard carried you might get 30 points... Which would line up with your deficit of win 5 lose 5. Either way. If you're serious about it. Stop running solo. Grab some friends. Run 3s. Run comp. Run trials. Get better together. The benefit of this is you now have a trials team. A 3s team. A tourney team. What ever.
This was with a premade team, in high comp. Low comp, if you win 5 and lose 5 (persay) you do make progress + your streak (if you have one).
But in high comp, if you win 5 and lose 5 (alternating with no streak) you're not making progress. If you win 5 and lose 5 but have built up a streak through those matches be it (the higher your streak the more points are saved if you lose because the streak makes up for it).
