Hey so I wanted to air some thoughts on Zavala. Through the Lore you have him set up as this leader figure who people go to for help, but, what does he actually DO? He turned down Variks when he asked for Leadership for the broken houses, which is then implied to have lead to Variks releasing Uldren...So Zavala is responible for Cayde's Death. THEN upon hearing the threat of the Scorn and Uldren he refuses to sanction Guardian Responses. He shows up on the Almighty (too late but that's besides the point) then argues with Ana about Rasputin's Loyalties then at the end of the season just kinda...Boasts about his amazing strategy and all we've achieved... I liked Cayde, Cayde had Personality and Charm. I like Ikora, Ikora has Character and Mystery about her, she feels like a wise old Aunt. Eris is a great Character because she shows pain and fights through it to help others, while also not being afraid to look into the dark. The Drifter has Story, Petra has Story, Mithrax and Eramis I am more excited to see...Hell I'd choose Asher Mir over Zavala because yeah as much as Zavala has done "stuff"...He just stands in one place, criticizes MY Descicions and comments about HIS great strategy of "facing the next foe together". I was around since the D1 Beta. I've slain Two Hive Gods now, destroyed the Fallen Houses, travelled through time and ressurected dead heroes...Remind me what did you do Zavala?? Oh that's right...You and Saladin called a retreat at Twilight Gap, declaring the City to be lost. I want to see Zavala in the feild, I want to see Character, or so help me Traveler if it takes me a thousand lifetimes I will find a way to throw Zavala from the Tower. Coward.
