You have to kill the 2 Knights that spawn before killing Savathun. If you Kill Savathun before the 2 knights, you don't get quest completion

A few weeks back I spent a few days just joining guardians requesting help via the fireteam lfg to get thorn, izinagi and outbreak. If you on PlayStation I can help you out just after daily reset and I see what happens at the tower.

Appreciate the offer but I'll probably just use the fireteam feature like you suggested (xbox). I pretty much know all about the strike now, so it really shouldn't take that long again. Also that's super respectable man, thx for being an awesome Guardian. Ima just relax and enjoy the fireworks as well. 🎊
