The cutscene literally explains how the almighty is on it's way to earth.
They destroyed navigation, so you cant point the ship elsewhere. They destroyed the engines, so they couldn't throw it in reverse, and they destroyed the controls to stop any manual driving.

And before you ask “uhhh, why didn’t that bring his systems online before?” It’s due to the fact that Zavala is EXTREMELY not wanting to activate something with this much destructive power.

Bro you’re trying but failing. Your arguments are nonsense and you haven’t disproven a single one. The FACT is there are enough ships and pilots to tow it an extremely small amount which would cause it to miss. The fact is the could self destruct a bug ship or multiple next to it to move it off course. We do have nuclear arsenals. They could be launched at it. A bad writings team poor excuse for why the most powerful ai of all time isn’t working isn’t valid unless they do a good enough job making it true. They didn’t it’s only this way because plot. So it’s not a valid excuse. Rather we know rasputin is an incredibly smart incredibly powerful ai who has stated he will protect us. Would he leave his defenses completely useless without help from the outside? No. So unless bungie wants to take the time to fix their awful plot holes we are going with what is logical. The only one that might not work is the golden gun thing depending on population. Now until you provide a single solitary shred of evidence (not bungies god awful nonsense) to support your claim then I’m going to continue asserting you’re wrong because that’s currently supported by all evidence.

I’m saying you can’t use poorly written plot hole filled lore. There’s plenty of decent stuff available. They just gred your horrible arguments. Also your argument would only account for rasputin. Not any one of hundreds I’d easily available solutions.

Again, all supers, random ships etc are just too small. Our nighthawk GG cant even kill a few majors in their shot, and you want it to derail the almighty? Alright. As for rasputin, both zavala and ana bray give reasons as to why he isnt acting. One, zavala says he might not even want to help us, as rasputin is based on Mars, and not in immediate danger, so he requires convincing. AB says that she sees rasputin is scared, leading me to believe that even he doesnt have the necessary capacity to stop the almighty, as his power is spread thin. Hence us powering up his bunkers (presumably)
