Doesnt need to be removed from all crucible, cause besides banner, light doesnt matter. It does need to be removed from trials though. Or at least capped.

  • Why? It isn’t like trials will be competitive anyways. With the sheer amount of updating the pvp sandbox needs for trials to be more then just another awful pvp addition is mind blowing. It’s not what we need. Pvp has desperately needed a large patch with a solid amount of work actually put into it. Trials will only bring the problems pvp has into the light even further than they already are. It’ll come back, pvp patch will be non existent or we get a severely half assed one (we’ve seen clips of the general skill of some of the play testers and -blam!- are some of them incapable of finding some of the flaws) I would love for a sweaty weekend event to come back. But bringing it back when the game isn’t ready for it will soil it so fast.

  • He mentions that they will be doing updates more often, so that should help. Trials was never 'competitive'. A lot of matches didnt come down to who was actually better. But it did provide a fun activity to do on weekends, which is all i'm hoping for. As for why it should be capped and/or not included: it's cause it affects light. People can abuse that, which isnt fair to the mode/others.

  • There is a difference between having a light advantage and exploiting a mechanic in the game. The artifact can be exploited cause it's infinite light gains, which is not fair and will affect the game mode.

  • You're late, it already has been done. There are people that save bounties and increase their artifact to ridiculous levels the first day/week of a new season. If people do that for pve, you dont think people would do that for trials? Lol bless your heart.

  • Of course people would do it. Players who play a lot doing the most efficient way to progress should be rewarded. This receiving massive backlash just shows how lazy this community has gotten (not saying bounty grinding is fun lol cause it wouldn’t be) but let’s be real, trials won’t be competitive, this being changed changes almost nothing except the single place being a dedicated player meaning something is being removed. If the advantage was lessened to a not game breaking place that would likely be a better middle ground but whatever I guess lol. Pvp in this game is its weakest link and the complete lack of a pro scene is evidence of that. I wish we had a pure pvp dlc, pinnacles style weapons returning for a couple season before getting shelfed, a few real pvp match’s built and tuned for the weapon patch that’s following them, a sandbox update that actually makes the game take skill. Game desperately needs some backend upgrades too but it’ll never get those (12 tick rate.... wtf bungie like why?)

  • That's not being efficient, that's exploiting a mechanic in game. It's a reason why bungie changed how completed bounties counted towards the next season. Even with that said, if a player wanted to do that for pve, i have no issue with. The issue is it would have affected pvp, and gave people an unfair advantage. Also, circumstances are different for everyone. Some people have time to play more than others, which is cool and understandable. And while that will give them some advantage, it shouldnt give them a major advantage. Trials should be more about teamwork, communication, and 'skill', not about how many bounties you turned in to boost your level. I said trials wont be competitive, it never was. But because it wasnt, doesnt mean bungie should let it be like the wild west with no rules/fairness. This is a middle ground. There will still be light advantages because some will do pinnacles, some wont. Lack of a pro scene means nothing. It's hard to have a pro scene for a game like this. There are too many factors: abilities, armor mods, weapons mods, etc. in play to set up a fair/balanced scene that people will play. Yea, you can set rules to limit what people use, but that takes away from what makes destiny destiny. I dont think they should have a pure pick a side dlc. The game has both pvp and pve, so both should get love. With that said, if they showed more love to one side than the other in a dlc, that would be cool. So far, it's been pve getting most the love, so if pvp got it for a season or 2, that would be fine. As for the backend upgrades, you have to remember bungie can only do so much cause of the tech. Things they can improve on that end, will improve when they can use advanced tech. That's why i hope they are getting ready for the new consoles, cause the new tech will allow them to do more improvements on that end.
