I think it should not be a ornement... what I do think is they should allow all armor drop with the season mod slot in that current season if it drops.
For example crusible master should drop all visual crusible armor each season with the seasonal armor slot/ not just from one season for one season long. That way you can grind escalation protecol armor with the seasonal mod that you want on it. This way no armor is left behind in the game and there will also be a grind towards getting the version you want with the element and season mod you want on it.
What I’m afraid of is that ppl that didn’t get the armor during that time. Can’t grind the activity because there is no intention.

The major issue here is 2 things. Vault space easily overfilled and being forced to regrind a set every season is kind of like D2 removing all of D1s earnings....then making us earn it over again. A better version is having a seasonal mod slot that is the same on all gear that can only use the mods of the current seasonal mods. Mods can change but armor should be forever.
