D2 is already about 150GB.
Keeping more content will made it not fit on consoles anymore.

With current seasons, that won't be problem. Undying had a map and some reskins (and items have to be in files anyway) And world events of Vex Invasion were just instancing of existing objects. This season is bit better, Some extra small maps (about 14) that are versions of preexisting maps and some reskins. Most of resources like textures are reused from already existing data.

Huh? Have 2.5 TB of storage for my PS4 atm. If I ever fill that, already have the drives I could swap in to go all the way to 6TB if need be. Storage space on this generation is almost as lame an excuse as PS2/PS3 limitations... at least there was some merit to some of those explanations.
i have the xbox one s with 500GB of storage, and its still not enough for my games and destiny 2
Can quadruple your storage space for roughly the cost of a new game. 2TB for $60 on amazon, 2yr warranty, free shipping/returns: https://www.amazon.com/Avolusion-HDDGear-2000GB-External-Pre-Formatted/dp/B074QDVS2K/ref=mp_s_a_1_16?adgrpid=54513985165&hvadid=274744874074&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=1025551&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=3596798119526561477&hvtargid=kwd-297049269511&hydadcr=24150_9930334&keywords=xbox+one+hard+drive+expansion&qid=1580311071&sr=8-16

由RAIST5150編輯: 1/29/2020 3:29:26 PM
Not everyone wants to spend money on more storage space.
That is a you problem then. Will you spend $60 on a game at release? Many people don't want to spend that much... so they wait for a sale, or a bundle that adds more value. Those are a personal choices. If you choose to buy a lower spec PC, should be prepared to eventually spend the money on upgrades if you want to play newer games that need higher spec'd systems. Same principle applies with consoles. Seriously though.... can add 1TB for like $50 or less off the shelf at normal retail prices. How much have some people spent on this game alone?

由RAIST5150編輯: 1/29/2020 3:54:21 PM
Except it is not a me problem. It is a everyone problem. Because everyone needs to buy that then.
Only the people that knowingly limited their options by buying the lower spec'd, more restrictive system. Games come on blu-rays. Talking 25gb up to128gb medium. Did it never dawn on you that even a 500gb might create a problem down the road? Again... 1TB drives can be acquired for $50 or less off the shelf. How much have you spent on games? On a single game for that matter? 2TB preformatted drive for XB1... $60 on amazon, free shipping, free returns, 2 year warranty. https://www.amazon.com/Avolusion-HDDGear-2000GB-External-Pre-Formatted/dp/B074QDVS2K/ref=mp_s_a_1_16?adgrpid=54513985165&hvadid=274744874074&hvdev=m&hvlocphy=1025551&hvnetw=g&hvqmt=e&hvrand=3596798119526561477&hvtargid=kwd-297049269511&hydadcr=24150_9930334&keywords=xbox+one+hard+drive+expansion&qid=1580311071&sr=8-16 Alternatively, if you have a spare drive lying around, could nab a USB3 enclosure for considerably less.
I am not going to spend 60$ for the xbox 1 storage now because i am buying the new xbox later. So that will just be wasted money.
Do you backup your phone data? Your PC/Laptop? Your console? You may still be able to use it... if not as extended storage on a new model, perhaps for backups somewhere. So, may not exactly be a "waste of money"... could even be a better investment than some games. IDK how many I have in my media cabinet I haven't touched in years, but still using drives I bought 5 years ago.
